Welcome to the Snowball Run Report.

There are three things I know about Colorado:

  1. The weather is unpredictable.
  2. Picking a date two months in advance is a crapshoot.
  3. Nobody is crazy enough to drive a nice 2002, Pantera or M3 in the snow and on sanded roads.

Okay…So 2 out of 3 ain’t bad. Click below for the full story.

Welcome to RMBMW2002.COM, the web home for owners, enthusiats, and friends of the legendary BMW 2002 in the rocky mountain region of Colorado, USA. We are here to share information, lend a hand, and help one another get the most out of these fantastic cars. We'd also like to welcome Neue Klasse, E3 and E9 owners, and anyone else in the region who enjoys BMWs from the 60s and 70s.

The route was set, the meeting place communicated, and there was going to be pizza.  How much more could you ask.

Summerfest '05

Every so often, things really fall into place to make for a great weekend.

To be honest, I didn’t really even consider attending the RMC BMWCCA Summerfest in Vail this year when the announcement first came out in the Motorsport Report. But then Mike Beyer, the event organizer and club president, extended a special invitation to our little online group. Then our good friend Mike Richmond (aka meyekel) offered to let me take his ’73 Verona. I had helped Mike with a motor and transmission swap earlier in the year, but this was really generous. Thanks Mike! My family thought it sounded like a nice weekend getaway. Plus, my kids really like Mike’s car.
